Mabel was born March 8, 1921 in Ranger, TX to Phillip Thomas and Etta Lou Mainard Falls. She was a graduate of Ranger High School and worked as a hairdresser. On June 25, 1944, she married her husband, Mutt Ramsey, in Ranger. They were married for almost 50 years, separated only by Mutt's passing. They raised two children, Paul and Patsy, spending time in Lake Charles, LA, Columbia, MS, McAllen, TX, and Rockport, TX. After retiring, they moved to Tyler, TX. Mabel and Mutt made the most of their retirement by traveling around the country on several driving trips. But, no matter how far they traveled, Mabel always made a comfortable home to welcome her children, grandchildren, and eventually great-grandchildren for every holiday.
Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Mutt Ramsey; son, Paul Ramsey, and daughter, Patsy Ramsey Anderson; siblings George Falls, Inez Hunt, Frances Dickinson, Jamie Floyd, and Thomas Falls. She is survived by her brother, Owen Falls and his wife, Pat; four grandchildren: Patrick Ramsey and his wife, Ginny, Leslie Ramsey, Ryan Anderson and his wife, Keri, and Jonathan Anderson; daughter-in-law Dasha Ramsey, son-in-law Jim Anderson; great-grandchildren Sophia, David, Conor, Nolan, and Etta Claire; and many nieces and nephews.
