Hughes, daughter Vicki Hughes Squyres, son Wyndle D Hughes, sisters; Eula Mae, Mary Ruth, and Leona Marie. She was born to Freddie and Ethel Goswick on October 13, 1935 in Colorado City, Texas. After graduating from high school, Margaret met her first husband Wyndle in Ranger and they married November 30, 1951. Together, they had 3 children: Wyndle Dean, and twins Vicki Kay and Richard Ray (Ricky). They purchased the Hillside Village Apartments and ran that for many years. After Wyndle deceased June 9, 1977, she remarried to Bobby Ray Green October 18, 1978.
Margaret was known by her Grandchildren as "Pudd" and she loved taking them on trips to Six Flags, shopping at the mall or just driving around Ranger and Eastland singing old country songs. She loved to care for her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and would take them in just as her own. They were all a joy for her to keep and filled her home with many blessings. She enjoyed a daily cup of black coffee and German chocolate cake.
Margaret loved to travel all around the world and would visit her sister Marie in Asia, or take a family trip to Italy and many other places. She loved her roadtrips with Bob to Oregon where she enjoyed panning for gold.
Margaret owned and ran multiple businesses through the years one of them being the Quality Grocery Store on Main Street. She had an even cash register down to the penny every day. She was a very proud Ranger Tx resident. For many years the Ranger community pool stayed open thanks to Margaret Green. She became involved in projects around town and ran and served as Mayor. Margaret was an immaculate dresser and took pride in her appearance. Her legacy of hard work and service to others will continue. She was admired and loved by many and will be deeply missed by all. Pudd will be honored for all that her hands have done and inspire her legacy she leaves behind.
