Marguerite Ditzel Reibe

Marguerite Ditzel Riebe, 103, of Strawn, passed away Monday, November 03, 2014. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Trinity Baptist Church in Strawn with Rev. Michael Orsini officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Marion Cemetery directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Strawn. A visitation will be held at the family home, 4062 Hwy 16, Strawn, TX on Wednesday from 4 until 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Riebe was born December 28, 1910 in Cordell, OK to Fred & Mary (Cook) Ditzel. She graduated from Pascal High School in Fort Worth and Brantley-Draughn’s Business College. She married George A. Riebe on February 6, 1934 in Palo Pinto. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1994. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James Lloyd Christmas, and 2 sisters, Helen D. Oneal, and Mary Christmas. She was a homemaker and had worked for Palo Pinto County for over 14 years. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church and The Spinner Ladies Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Frances Sharp of Strawn; a sister, Jo Simpson of CA; 4 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
