EASTLAND – Mass of Christian Burial for Maria Loreto (Escobedo) Montano, 70, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday May 18, 2024 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Eastland with Father Joseph Pudota officiating. Interment will follow at Eastland City Cemetery. Maria passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
She was born on March 27, 1954 in Guadalupe de Tambula Guanajuato, Mexico to Guillermo Escobedo and Antonia Perales. Maria married Eduardo Montano in San Miguel De Allende Guanajuato, Mexico.
Survivors include her husband, Eduardo Montano of Olden; Children, Jose Alejandro Montano “Chaca” of Olden, Humberto Montano of Eastland, Eduardo Montano, Jr. of Burleson, Erasmo Montano “Gollo” of Eastland, Maria del Carmen Montano of Olden; two brothers, Gullermo Escobedo and Felimon Escobedo of Guadalupe de Tambula, Mexico; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Guillermo Escobedo and Antonia Perales; a son, Guillermo Sergio Montano and seven siblings.
