CISCO – Maria Luisa Soto, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Rosary is Thursday September 11th at 6:00 pm at the Bakker Funeral Home Chapel in Eastland. Mass will be held on Friday September 12th at 10:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Eastland. Burial will follow at Eastland City Cemetery.
Maria Luisa Gonzales was born in Sonora, Mexico on May 26, 1935 to Mariano and Maria (Clemente) Gonzales. She was a nurse in Mexico. In 1970 she moved to Cisco, Texas and met Nasario Soto. They were married on June 17, 1971.
Maria Luisa was preceded in death by her husband Nasario in 1999; her parents and siblings in Mexico.
She is survived by her daughters Leonor Soto of Abilene and Anna Guevara and her husband Eduardo of Cisco; her son Simon Soto of Abilene and her granddaughter Tiffany Soto of Avery.
