Marion Richard Bonney, age 84, of Abilene died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Weatherford Healthcare Center of Weatherford, TX. Mr. Bonney was born September 21, 1927 in Strawn, TX. He is the son of the late W R and the late Mildred (Medlen) Bonney. He married Rosey Lorain Burdette on January 23, 1953 at Ranger, TX.
He served in the Army during the Korean war from 01/25/51 to 10/24/52. He was employed by as a(n) Regional Administrative Supervisor.
He is survived by his wife: Rosey Lorain(Burdette) Bonney ; one daughter: Alice Kathleen Christy of Park Ridge, ILand one son: Richard Michael Bonney of Ranger, TX; Brother of three brothers: Bill Bonney of Grand Prairie, TX, Jimmy Bonney of Midlothian, TX, Charles Bonney of Dripping Springs, TX; he also has two grandchildren. grandson, Stephen Christy; grandson, Brian Christy.
The funeral service will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 5 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, 211 Pine Street, Ranger, TX with Ronny Guess officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Ranger on Saturday, May 5 at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aldersgate of the United Methodist Church
Ranger Fire Department.
