Martha Rich

CISCO-Martha Ziehr Rich,77, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Cisco. Services will be held Friday, June 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Old Gospel Church on Hwy 6 between Cisco and Eastland. Burial will follow at Romney Cemetery under the direction of Chambers Funeral Home in Cisco. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.


Martha was born on December 6, 1935 in Cisco, Texas to Walter and Berdie Lee (Threet) Ziehr. She graduated from Cisco High School.She married Emmett Rich on May 30, 1953. They were married for sixty years. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to her husband and children.


Martha was a member of Old Gospel Church since 1955. She was also a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.


Martha was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson: Steven Bates.


Martha is survived by her husband: Emmett Rich, her two daughters: Trecia Veach, and Mary Bates, her grandchildren: Richard Felty, James Bates, Caren Vera, and Elizabeth Robertson, and her great-grandchildren: Levi, Jackson, and Benjamin Robertson.
