Marvin Lee Sipes passed from this life into his forever home in Heaven on June 30, 2022. He was born in Bakersfield, California to Willie Lee and Jessie Lou Sipes October 3, 1947. Marvin was raised and went to school in Bishop, California then joined the U.S. Marines in 1966. He served during the Vietnam War in Da Nang, Vietnam. He was critically injured while serving and received a Purple Heart. Marvin went on to lead a productive and busy life.
He worked for a pest control company in Snyder, Texas for several years. Marvin and his wife, Sandra, moved to Ranger, Texas in 1976 where he had a successful lawn business. He drove a tanker truck for a while before beginning a 10 years stint at Ranger College in maintenance. Marvin went back to driving a truck which he loved doing before he retired.
Marvin was happiest playing golf, hanging out with other veterans at the VFW and Ranger Veterans Memorial Park. This ended abruptly in 2012 when he became permanently disabled. He absolutely enjoyed his large family, especially his grandchildren who thought Grandpa was the greatest.

He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was cremated per his wishes. A memorial service celebrating his life will be at a later date.
