Mary Lucille (Ringo) Barron, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on July 30, 1929, in Sharps Valley, Texas, Mary was the daughter of Everett and Mary (Merriman) Ringo. In 1947, she married W.C. Barron in Gordon, Texas, beginning a lifelong journey filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family.

Mary dedicated over 25 years of her life as a teachers aide, leaving a profound impact on the lives of countless children. Her warmth, compassion, and unwavering support provided a safe haven for students, many of whom continued to visit her throughout her life. Mary was particularly known for her mentorship of children from troubled homes, offering them guidance, hope, and love when they needed it most.

In addition to her role in education, Mary served her community as a member of the City Council and the Cemetery Board, demonstrating her commitment to improving the lives of those around her.

Mary is survived by her two loving sons, Clifford Barron and girlfriend, Dolores Arnold, Jimmy Barron, including her cherished grandsons, Mike Barron, Monte Barron, and Brad Barron and four great-grandchildren, who will forever remember her as a guiding light in their lives.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Gordon Church of Christ, where friends and family will gather to celebrate her remarkable life. Mike Batot will officiate the service, and interment will follow at the New Gordon Cemetery. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn, providing an opportunity for loved ones to pay their respects and share memories of Mary.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice, honoring Mary's legacy of compassion and generosity.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; Everett and Mary Ringo; husband, W.C. Barron; brother, John Ringo and granddaughter, Tiffany Barron.
