Max Dee Henson, 77, of Olden, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 in Olden. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Eastland City Cemetery with Paul Howie officiating and under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
Max was born August 7, 1936 in Big Spring to Clyde Henson and Mabel Vaughan Henson. He worked for Bob Carroll Construction for over 30 years before retiring and becoming self-employed. He married Sonja Wayne Evans on March 23, 1957 in Burkett, TX. He joined the U.S. Army in 1953 serving in Germany. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sonja on May 9, 2014; his parents, and a sister, Sharon Koenig.
Survivors include,; 2 sons, Clyde Henson and wife Rosemary of Kermit, and Robert Henson and wife Charla of Olden; grandchildren, Gary Wayne Henson and wife Lauren of Kermit, Jacob Henson and fiancée Laura Procter of Lingleville , Max Henson and fiancée Shea Lynn Thomas of Patillo, Heather Henson of Olden; a brother-in-law, Dick Koenig of Cross Plains; and 3 nieces and 1 nephew.
