Melba Gordon

Cathy Gordon left this life Saturday evening December 8, 2012. Services will be Wednesday 11:00 am at first Baptist Church in Gordon, Texas. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 6 to 8 pm at Edwards Funeral Home Strawn, Texas. Burial will be in New Gordon Cemetery in Gordon, Texas. Cathy was born November 22, 1938 to Red Pierce and Drusie Barret Pierce. She graduated from Gordon High School, loved to camp out in the mountains and doing things at the lake and was an avid reader. She married Gary N. Gordon May 1, 1976 in Gordon, Texas. She is survived by her husband Gary; one son Alan Cummings; two daughters, Diane Barker and husband Alvin, Sherry Rasmuson and husband Larry; one brother Bill Pierce and wife Alecia; four grandchildren, Shona Rodriquez, Amanda Sizemore, Kaysi Scarbough and Coleman Rasmuson; three step-children, Laura Kiowski, Larry Tamplin and Lynn Tamplin; four step-grandchildren, Caten, Crystal, Caleb and Justin. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson Jacob Cummings.
