Melva Louise Jordan

Melva Louise Jordan, 78 of Eastland, passed away
Saturday November 26, 2022 in Abilene. Services will be held at 2 p.m.
Tuesday Nov. 29th at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow
in the Murray Cemetery in Carbon. The family will receive friends at
the funeral home Monday, 5~7 p.m.
She was born June 12, 1944 in Gorman to Henry Alvis and Bonnie
Louise (Daniels) Scitern. She married Otis Ray Jordan on March 7,
1959 in Carbon. She worked at Hollywood Vassarette, Russell Newman
Sewing Factory, and Eastland Drug for many years. She was a
homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in
death by her parents; husband; and 2 brothers, Gerald Dean Scitern, and
Glenn Kathel Scitern.
Survivors include a son, Michael Jordan (Tabitha); 2 daughters,
Zandra Jordan, and Tammy Collins (Wesley); 1 sister, Laveda Diane
Scitern; 6 grandchildren, Sabrina and Kirt Fox, Vanessa and Blake
Wilson, Shelby and Thomas Krug, Savanna and Chris Newby, Lauren
and Blake Martinez, and Hannah Jordan; and 7 great-grandchildren,
Zayden and Aubryn Fox, Colby and Tanner Wilson, and Benjamin,
Griffin, and Lucy Krug.
