RANGER – Michael Earl Ewing, age 61, passed from this life Monday, May 27, 2019 after years of pain and disability. Per Michael’s request, he will be cremated and a service will be held at a later date.
Michael was born April 1, 1958 in Sweetwater, Texas to Marlon Earl and Virginia Ogden Ewing. He moved to Ranger in his youth and was a graduate of Ranger High School and attended trade school to study small engine repair. This training served him well as a machinist and Drag Racing enthusiast. Not only did Michael build and work on his own drag racer, he was also a racer himself. His car was known as “Bankrupt”. His love of drag racing was only out shadowed by his love for his son, grandkids and great-grandkids.
Michael is survived by his son, Robert Earl Ewing and wife Jacquetta of Ranger, grandkids: T.J. Ewing and wife Heather, Ricky Ewing and Makaela Ewing, great-grandkids; Sylas, Montie and Alley Ewing.
He is preceded in death by his parents Marlon and Virginia Ewing and one precious great-grandchild, Kysen Ewing.
