Milburn Dean Harrison, 76 of Ranger, passed away Tuesday May 25, 2021 in Eastland. Graveside services will be held at 10 am Tuesday, June 1st at the Necessity Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, May 31st at Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger from 4 until 6 pm.
Mr. Harrison was born August 4, 1944 in Breckenridge to Woodrow W. Harrison and Jewell O. McPherson Harrison. After high school he entered the U.S. Army where he served for 28 years having tours in Korea and Vietnam receiving many awards medals including the Purple Heart. He finished his military career in 1990 with the National Guard in Breckenridge, TX. He was a truck driver and loved hauling scrap iron. He was a member of the V.F.W. He married Barbara Harrison in June, 2011 in Eastland. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Smith.
Survivors include his children, Don Chandler (Darla), James Paul Mayhall (Michaelyn), Susie Harrison, Chuck Goodman, and Michael Goodman; a brother, John Graves; a sister, Irene Whittington; grandchildren, Billy Joe Jernigan (LoraLee), Craig Stephenson (Caytie), Will Chandler, Kira Wells, Blake Mayhall, Jordan Mayhall, Marilyn Mayhall, Katie Mayhall, Kimmie Squyres, Brooklyn Mayhall, Parker Mayhall, and Dallas Mayhall; 12 great-grandchildren; and special angel and friend, Jenny Ainsworth with Alpha Omega.
