Monica Kay Childs

November 8, 1965 — March 18, 2025

Midland

Monica Childs, born November 8, 1965, went to be with the Lord and her mother on March 18th, 2025. She left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering kindness. Monica was an exceptional woman-outgoing, loving, and forgiving-who filled every room with warmth and joy.

Monica had a deep love for people and reflected it with the vibrant spirit she carried through life. She found peace in the great outdoors, especially while camping or sitting on the porch with a fresh cup of coffee at the farm. There she created cherished memories with family and friends. Above all else, her greatest joy was her family, especially her 17 grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Monica is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, John Childs; her sons Alan, Richard, Joshua and Matthew, along with her adopted daughter, Heather Lowrance. Though she is no longer physically with us, the love she gave so freely and the kindness she embodied will live in the hearts of all who knew her.

Mother was a radiant soul-glowing with warmth, creativity, and an unshakable love for the beauty in life. She never shied away from bright colors; she embraced them, lived in them and spread them everywhere she went. Whether through her crafts, her laughter, or the way she made others feel seen and loved. She turned even the simplest moments into something extraordinary.

Monica's life was a testament to the power of love and the beauty of forgiveness. though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever remain in our hearts. We never say goodbye, only see you later.

In these difficult times, we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has offered love, support, prayer and kindness to our family. Your compassion has been a source of strength, and we look forward to leaning on one another as we navigate the future.

With love.
