RANGER – Murle V. Williams, 96 of Ranger and formerly of Breckenridge, walked into Jesus’ arms Wednesday, April 8, 2020 in Ranger, TX. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
Murle was born May 15, 1923 in Peacock, TX to Dugan W. Carlton and Maude (Clift) Carlton. She married Charles R. Williams on March 14, 1942 in Abilene. She worked at the Breckenridge American newspaper from 1954-55. She then worked for GEBCO Chart Services for 16 years, Breckenridge ISD, and then at the Stephens County Tax Office until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Breckenridge. She loved all sports, and league bowled until she was 80.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; daughter, Annette Williams-Rudd; her parents; and 6 siblings.
Survivors include 2 sons, Mike Williams (Annie) of Ft. Worth, and Pat Williams (Kalynda) of Breckenridge; 6 grandchildren, Shawn, Patrick, Heather, Ashley, Blake, and Shaton; 10 great-grandchildren; Samantha, Kiley, James, Haley, Olivia, Cora, Makinley, Adley, Colton, and Cassie; great-great-grandchild, Blevin Lynn; sister, Bunny Jones of OKC, OK; Ken Rudd; and many nieces, nephews & dear friends.
