Nancy Elizabeth Couger, 55, of Strawn, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012, in Fort Worth. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Cedar Springs Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Hunter and Rev. Tom Beatty officiating. Burial will follow in the Brad Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn on Tuesday from 6 until 8:00 p.m.
Nancy was born February 20, 1957 in Ranger to J.B. Shubert and Lena Mae McCoy. She married Greg Couger on July 21, 1979 in Strawn. She was a restaurant owner, loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, playing bingo and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, Shirley Kempe, Sue Holloway and Josie Webb.
Survivors include her husband, Greg Couger; 3 sons, Shad Kline, Jake Couger and Bradley Couger; a daughter, K'Lynn Couger; a brother, J.L. Shubert; 3 sisters, Sybil Bailey, Effie Covey and Ruthie Leath; and 6 grandchildren.
