Nancy Lee Pennington passed from this life to the next, at home with family, on February 7, 2013.
Nancy was born July 2, 1924 at Lamesa, Texas. Her family later moved to Ranger. She married Ira V. Pennington on July 4, 1940 in Ranger. She was an active member of the Ranger Church of God for many years. Nancy and Ira had four boys and one girl: Lonnie, Raymond, Bobby, John, and Latisha.
Nancy dedicated her life to God, her family, and to helping others. She was loved by her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, and being with family and friends.
She is survived by Bobby Pennington and his wife Nancy of Briar, Texas, John W. Pennington of Olden, Latisha Pennington of Ft. Worth, daughter-in-law Sue Pennington of Eastland, and daughter-in-law Marcella Pennington of Ranger. Nancy is also survived by ten grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira, and two oldest sons, Lonnie and Raymond.
Visitation was on Friday, Feb. 8th from five to seven at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland. Services will be held at 11 o'clock on Saturday, February 9th, also at Edwards Funeral Home. Interment followed at Eastland Cemetery.
