LAKE LEON - Nancy Joan Webb, 78 of Lake Leon, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Mrs. Webb will be inurned in the Veteran State Cemetery in Abilene.
Nancy Joan Walker was born June 25, 1940 in Buffalo NY to Wallace Walker and Deloris (Heinz) Walker. She was raised in Fresno, CA, where she graduated from Roosevelt High School and joined the US Army Med Core in 1958. She married Ronald "Rex" Webb January 1, 1965 in Fresno, CA and pursued her nursing career in Eastland following her husband's retirement from the service in 1978. Nancy retired from the VA hospital in Fresno, CA in 2005 and maintained her nursing license until a year before her passing. Mrs. Webb was a Veteran, a career Nurse for 30yrs, a strong traveling military wife, and a loving mother, where most of all...she dedicated her life to her family.
In 2006 Nancy and her husband returned back to Eastland (her husband's home town) out at Lake Leon where they lived for the past 12 yrs and were short time members of Leon River Cowboy Church.
Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Buddy Walker and Robert "Bobby" Walker, and her beloved husband of 53yrs, Ronald "Rex" Webb.
Survivors include; a son, Brian Webb and wife Pam of Eastland; a daughter, Rhonda Carignan and husband Frank of Coos Bay, Oregon; 2 sisters Linda Logan, Marsha Moore and her husband Jim of Fresno, CA; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; many special lifelong friends, including John Belch and Marry Sutton, etc.p
Memorial donations in Mrs Webb's name may be made to Eastland Hospital/Air Evac Lifeteam 115; Eastland Fire Department or Eastland Police/Sheriff's Department.
