RANGER – Nell Carper, age 81, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, October 28, 2017. Graveside services for Nell will be held Tuesday at 2 pm at the Mule Creek Cemetery south of Bronte, TX under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland. No set time for visitation.
On July 1, 1936 Ursula Jaunell “Nell” Carper was born in Brady, TX to Raymond Claude and R.E. Mills Prosise. In 1959 she married William Arthur “Willie” Carper in San Angelo. She worked for Ethicon Inc. in San Angelo for many years then settled into life as a wife and mother.
Nell loved to read, especially a good romance novel. She loved Halloween and Christmas and loved to decorate for the occasions both inside and outside. When her kids or grandkids were in town she enjoyed checking out the local antique and thrift stores. Nell also enjoyed watching the Little League World Series on TV and loved to play Bingo.
Nell’s greatest and brightest love was that of her precious children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Debra Coplen and husband Joe of Granbury, three sons: Danny Carper and wife Debbie of Perryton, Bill Carper and wife Winnie of Carbon and Butch Carper of Bronte, Grandchildren: Jeff and wife Tasha, Tiffani and husband Terry, Kayla and husband Carlos, Shayla and husband Cody, Casey, Arron, Cole, Clay, and Cylea, great-grandchildren: Kinsler, Jace, Landree, Audrey, Tyler, and Gavin. Nell is also survived by her sister, Sharron Hill and husband Larry of Big Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 37 years Willie Carper.
