Nieta Faye Melton

Nieta Rose Melton, age 72, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Ranger Care Center surrounded by those who love her. Services for Nieta will be at 2 pm Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel at 211 Pine St. Ranger, TX. A visitation will be from 10 – 12 on Saturday before the service in the afternoon. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger. Pallbearers will be Brandon Wilson, John Turner, Gabe Wilson, Alton Watson, Carol Braddock and Emeterio Vasquez.
Nieta Faye Rose Melton was born December 31, 1946 in Ranger, TX to Owen Ed and Beatrice Louise
West Rose. She grew up in Ranger and attended Ranger schools. Nieta enjoyed staying busy and was blessed to be able to work several different jobs during her life. Her most memorable jobs, being a wonderful Mom to her kids and earning her CNA later in life which led her to work for the Rock House, Eastland and Ranger Nursing Homes. She was a Baptist and loved the Lord.
She is survived by her 3 daughters; Kellie Wilson and Karina Melton both of Watauga, TX and Kimber Lee Melton of CA, grandchildren; Krystal Archer, Jessika Richard and Gabriel Wilson and 2 great-grandchildren, a brother; Johnny Rose of Granbury and sisters Carolyn Braddock and husband Clyde and Shirley Cole and husband Jimmy both of Ranger and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her amazing and loving, longtime boyfriend Jimmy Blackwell of Ranger.
