Nita Holt Graham, 86, of Abilene passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 in Abilene. Services were held at 11:00 am Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Eastland. Burial followed in the Eastland City Cemetery. The family received friends at Edwards Funeral Home at 10:00 am Monday, prior to the service.
Mrs. Graham was born on April 25, 1927 in Gorman, Texas to M.S. Holt and Azadell Brown. She was a graduate of Olden High School. She married Wince Graham Jr. on January 5, 1944 in San Diego, California. He was the love of her life. They were married just short of seventy years. Nita and Wince enjoyed travelling after their retirement.
Nita was a member of the Church of Christ. She loved to entertain, enjoyed cooking and baking, with pies being her specialty. Most of all, she loved to shop with her girls and spend time with her granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: Melvin and Kenneth Holt.
Survivors include her husband: Wince Graham Jr. of Abilene, two daughters: Susan Graham of Abilene, and Terri McClanahan and her husband Ken of Bridge Creek, OK, two granddaughters: Heather Ooley and her husband Mark of Edmond, OK and Heidi Ray and her husband Stacey of Owasso, OK, a sister: Chris Cole, three great grandchildren: Kiersten Ray, Colton Ray, and Kyle Ooley, and several nieces and nephews.
