Norma Jean Canet

Norma Jean (Watson) Canet, age 84, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 22, 2017. Graveside services for Norma will be at 2 pm Wednesday, December 27 at the Merriman Cemetery south of Ranger, TX. A visitation will be held from 10 – 12am Wednesday morning at the Edwards Funeral Home at 411 S. Mulberry, Eastland TX.
Norma was born July 7, 1933 in Mangum, Ok to Bill and Ruby Reese Watson. She was a high school graduate of Strawn High School. Norma married Oliver (Buddy) Canet December 31, 1982 in Eastland. She spent her life raising and loving her family as a homemaker. She was an accomplished cook who loved to go fishing and was also an accomplished artist with her oil paintings. Norma loved to help people in need and was always donating whatever she could to this or that. She was a Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her husband Buddy Canet, her parents and a brother, Ralph Reese.
Norma is survived by sons, Lowell Lowrance and Lane Lowrance and wife Betty Jo, daughter, Dianna Funston, grandchildren; Shanda Finley, Kristy Boyd and husband Daniel, Randall Funston and wife Emily, Monty Lowrance, and Brittany Lowrance, great-grandchildren, Ashton, Ella, Faith, Wade, Blake, Kinsley, Jaxon, and Adelynn, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by some dear and close friends of the family; Jackie Harrington, David Dozier, Barbara and Michael Johnston and Adam Adams.
