Norman Ross Jones

Norman Ross Jones, 73, formerly of Hutto and Austin passed away in a Ft. Worth Hospital August 29, 2014. A memorial graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Gorman, TX under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, TX.
Norman was born November 1, 1940 in Gorman, TX to Marvin Hardy Jones and Pauline Mae Lane Jones. He was a 1958 graduate of Gorman High School and was a Methodist. After moving to Austin he went to work for the State of Texas as a Computer Programmer working many of those years for the Texas Department of Public Safety. Norman was a member of Mensa and a published poet in the “Muse”. He loved writing and painting in his spare time.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents and a twin brother Kenneth Lee Jones.
Norman is survived by a daughter, Kathy Spruiell and a son Chris Jones both of Austin. He is also survived by a sister: Shirley Eaves of Eastland, brothers: Roland Jones and his wife Jacque of Bedford and Robert Jones and his wife Oleta of North Richland Hills and numerous nieces and nephews.
