Oma V. Sperling

Oma Sperling passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 with her family by her side. Services will be 2 P.M. Monday, January 22nd at First United Methodist Church of Gordon, burial will follow in the New Gordon Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-6 P.M. Sunday, January 21st at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn.
Oma was born in Gordon, TX on May 21, 1918. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, Gordon. She married Edgar Sperling on December 16, 1936 and she loved to quilt and garden. Oma was loved by all who knew her.
Oma is survived by her children; Edwine Allen of Lawton, OK, Ashley Sperling of Willow Park, TX, and Ada Kelleher of Gordon, TX; grandchildren; Diane Sperling, Gayle Wilson Fullmer, Darrell Allen, Rhonda Edwards, Lisa Franklin, Shannon Kincaid, Edgar Kelleher, Tracey Riffle, Stacy Kelleher, and Jimmy Kelleher; 22 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Sperling; grandson, Tommy Kelleher; 2 sisters, 5 brothers; and son in law, Thomas D. Kelleher.
