Ona Etta "Sally" Davis

Ona Etta “Sally” Davis, 85 of Cross Plains, passed away Thursday September 24, 2015. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Pioneer Baptist Church with Rev. Dwaine Clower officiating. Burial will follow in the Pioneer Cemetery directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
Mrs. Davis was born August 10, 1930 in Paducah, TX to Onnie Thomas Owens and Lillian Etta (Gibbs) Owens. She married Sidney Davis on June 19, 1947 in Paducah. She was a member of the Pioneer Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Sidney Frank Davis; a great-grandson, Miguel Alaniz; 2 brothers; and 5 sisters.
Survivors include 2 sons, Neal Davis of Germany, and Alan Davis of Lockney; 2 daughters, Peggy Chavez of Santa Rosa, NM, and Lil Martinez of Eastland; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
