Opal Katherine Little

Opal K. Little, age 96, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, October 20, 2018 at her home at the Woodlands. A memorial service for Opal will be held at one o’clock pm Saturday, October 27 at the First United Methodist Church, 215 S. Mulberry, Eastland. As per Opal’s request, she will be cremated and her remains will be laid to rest at a later date beside her dear husband at the Eastland City Cemetery.
Opal was born on December 29, 1921 in Ranger, Texas. Her parents were H.G. (Grady) and Florence Kyle Ramsey.
She graduated from Ranger High School in 1939 and attended Ranger Junior College, graduating from McMurry with a BA Degree and a Masters degree in Education. Opal taught school for 33 years, retiring from Eastland ISD in 1982.
She and Rudolph Little were married in 1947 and had one son born in 1948. She was a member of the Methodist church, being very active in all phases of church work. She was a charter member, and part time teacher, of the Suzannah Wesley Sunday School class.
Opal was preceded in death by her husband, son, two sisters, one nephew, and parents.
Survived by two nieces, three nephews, and several cousins.
