Ozell B. Vandergriff, 100, a resident of Ranger since 1949, died at Saturday, January 12 2013 at her home in Ranger. Services were held on Monday January 14th at 3:00 p.m. at the First United Pentecostal Church in Ranger. The Rev. Gerald Gunstanson officiated the funeral services, with additional remarks from the Rev. Charles R. Diffee of Dallas, TX, nephew of Mrs. Vandergriff. Burial followed in the Bullock Cemetery directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Ranger. Mrs. Vandergrigg was born on October 11, 1912 in rural Stephens County. She married Roy D. Vandergriff on November 12, 1935 in Durant, OK. She was the mother of daughters Maxine and Barbara. They were all members of the First United Pentecostal Church of Ranger, TX. Survivors include daughter Maxine Kendrick of Ranger; grandchildren, Jeannie Ramirez of Little Elm, and Lochwood Larson of Richardson; great-grandchildren, Mia and Whitney Ramirez; several nieces and nephews, all of whom she dearly loved.
