Patricia Ann Hornung

CISCO – Pat Hornung, age 78 years young, passed from this life Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at her home. Family and friends will gather at 3 pm Saturday for a Celebration of Life at Edwards Funeral Home at 411 S. Mulberry, Eastland.
Patricia Ann was born November 16, 1940 in Georgetown, TX to Virgil and Nevada Fails Lackey. She was a graduate of Taylor High School and went on to receive her RN from Texas Tech University and her BSN from West Texas State University. Pat married Mr. Grady Mark Hornung April 27, 1958 in Beeville, TX.
Pat was a natural caregiver and born to be a nurse. Her loving and nurturing heart not only shined throughout her 30 plus years working as a nurse but also during the most difficult times in her life, taking care of her loving husband and precious son who both battled Huntington’s Disease. It is no wonder she found enjoyment in a world of movies and word game puzzles in her spare time. She also found joy in her grandchildren. She was an exceptional grandmother, and they were the loves of her life.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Judy Hornung Posey and her husband Jeffery “Shane” Posey of Cisco, grandchildren; Jennifer Posey Martin and her husband Kyle Martin of Dallas, Josh Posey of San Antonio, and Jinger Posey of Cisco. She is also survived by a sisters; Renee Surritt of San Antonio and Wanda Nutt of Spring Branch.
She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Grady Hornung, her son Craig Hornung and sisters; Nyoka Richter, Sherry Haselmeyer.
