Patricia (Sue) Hunt Wilson was born to Ralph Duron Hunt and Ruby May Langford on June 12, 1946. She was one of six children. Oldest Butch Hunt, George Hunt, Doug Hunt, Sue Hunt, Sharon Hunt, and Leah Hunt. She grew up in a military family that ended up settling in Santo, Texas. She was very active in school and enjoyed cheerleading and cooking. She even won the Betty Crocker Award in High School. She graduated from Santo, started college, and a job at Sears where she had to walk back and forth to work. She met the Love of her life, John Wilson, one Sunday night at church and they later married on August 24, 1971. They were blessed with the birth of their son, David, on March 27, 1973. They spent years learning to farm, ranch and juggle lots of doctor’s appointments due to David’s illness, but that didn’t slow them down. When David was able, he enjoyed being out in the Israeli melon patch right along with them. John and Sue went through a very devastating time when they lost their only son at the young age of 19. Luckily, they had their faith in God, and they had each other. About the age of 60 their lives took a strange turn; they were given the opportunity to bless, Joe Wilson, with their time and wisdom. They were given the role to be grandparents. Sue Wilson was the best Mimi that Joe could ever ask for, she was amazing right up until the time that she went home to be with David on August 12, 2023. She was proceeded in death by her son, David; her parents, Ralph and Ruby May; her sister, Sharon; and her brothers, Butch Hunt, George Hunt, and Doug Hunt.
She is survived by her husband, John; her sister, Leah; nieces and nephews; and countless great nieces and nephews.
