Patsy Ruth Mcafee

Patsy Ruth McAfee, age 81, passed from this life, Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in Abilene. Services for Patsy will be 2 pm Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, 411 S. Mulberry St. Eastland, TX with a visitation being held from 10 am to 12 noon the same day before the service. Burial will be at the Eastland City Cemetery.
Patsy was born March 27, 1936 in Gorman, TX to Ronnie and Wanda Abernathy Williams. She graduated from Snyder High School and married Jessie B. McAfee on August 20, 1957 in Andrews, TX. Patsy and Jessie lived out in Odessa for many years before moving to Lake Leon in 1998, finally settling in Cisco just a few years back. Patsy worked as the Human Resource Manager for the Odessa K-Mart for many years.
Patsy was an avid reader and loved to ready just about any type of fiction. In her and Jessie’s younger years they loved to travel and go camping with their children often going every weekend they could get away. Patsy was also a devoted dog lover.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Jessie; son, Robert A. McAfee and wife Pamala of Aubrey, TX, stepson, Jesse Dean McAfee and wife Gail of Tempe, AZ, stepdaughter, Brenda McAfee Stringfield and husband James of Andrews, 6 Grandchildren, 10 Great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Carroll Williams of Lake Leon and Larry Williams of Austin.
