Pauline Angelina Beyer Lynn went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
Pauline was born in Abernathy, Texas to Minnie Vasek Beyer and Ed Beyer on February 21, 1933. She was raised in a small community North of Strawn called Dodson Prairie. She later attended Strawn High School.
She married Jimmie Lynn on September 11, 1951. Together they raised six kids. Three sons, James Edward (Stinker) Lynn and wife, Janet of Mingus, Lawrence Ray (PeeWee) Lynn, Larry Paul Lynn of Strawn. Three daughters, Brenda Martin and husband, Ronny Ford of Mingus, Jennifer Rushing and husband, James of Ranger, and Paula Ausburne and husband, Paul also of Ranger.
She has 13 grandkids, 26 great grandkids, and 5 great- great grandkids and she loved each and every one of them very dearly.
She also had many dear friends, nieces and nephews who she adored and cherished.
Pauline is preceded in death by her loving parents, a twin brother, Paul Beyer, a sister, Minnie Mae Beyer Nowak, and a brother, Frank Eddie Beyer. She was also preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Ray (PeeWee) Lynn and her husband, Jimmie Lynn, as well as many family and friends.
Pauline came from a hard working family and she set a very good example for her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook and she made sure anyone and everyone was welcome at her table at any time. She also delivered many meals to the sick and needy.
Pauline worked at the Strawn Drug Store, Mallory’s Grocery Store with Pat and Barbara Mallory and other friends. She sat with the elderly for several years. She worked at Stewart Tank Company for Brian and Sarah Heflin and made many friends there. She also worked at La Mancha Lake Cabins at Lake Leon.
She grew up attending St. Boniface Catholic Church at Dodson Prairie. Pauline is a member of St. John Catholic Church in Strawn and has been for many, many years. She is a devout Christian who loved her family and her community.
Rosary will be Tuesday, 6:00 ~ 6:30 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Dodson Prairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation in Pauline’s name be made to the Strawn Volunteer Fire Department.
