Pauline Nerger Blackwell Martin went home to be with her Lord September 5, 2019 at Ranger Care Center. Services for Pauline will be Monday, September 9, 2019 at 2 pm at the Church of Christ, 203 Mesquite St. in Ranger, TX. A visitation will be held before the service starting at 1 pm also at the church. Burial will be at the Cross Roads Cemetery south of Ranger under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Ranger.
Pauline was born March 10, 1922 in Ranger to Herman and Helena Mantey Nerger. She attended school at Crossroads and Alameda. She married Curtis E. Blackwell June 5, 1938 in Caddo, TX and they had one son, Jack Edward. Curtis passed away August 16, 1969. Pauline then married Clarence Martin January 29, 1976 in Abilene.
Pauline was a marvelous homemaker and seamstress. She loved to sew for people, from babies to wedding dresses. Polly was a lifetime member and very active in the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her son, Jack Blackwell and wife Lynne of Ottumwa, IA, a sister Evelyn Rayfield Reese of Springtown, sister-in-law, Wanda Nerger of Carthage, TX, 2 grandchildren; Debra and Curtis, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by husbands; Curtis and Clarence, her parents, a sister, Marie Blackwell, brother, Charles Nerger and a precious grandson, Steven Blackwell.
