With heavy hearts and joyful reminiscence, we celebrate the life of Pauline Geneva Wheeler, born on September 23, 1928, in Mills County, TX, to George Francis and Ollie Mae (Hixson) Smith. She journeyed to her eternal rest on November 29, 2024, at the age of 96, surrounded by the love she so generously shared throughout her remarkable life.

Pauline, known for her warm spirit and infectious laughter, spent her early years in Mills County and later moved to Harlingen, Texas, to be close to her beloved son, Donnie Brown, and daughter-in-law, Christine. Together with her late husband, Allen Glenn Wheeler, she built a life enriched by faith as devoted members of Olden Baptist Church. Pauline cherished her time with family and friends, singing her favorite hymn, "Amazing Grace," which echoed her deep love for life and faith.

An avid baker and talented cook, Pauline brought joy to every gathering with her delicious creations and her love for playing dominos. She dedicated 15 years of her life to working at Modern Way in San Angelo, Texas, before embracing her passion for caregiving, showcasing her compassionate nature and commitment to nurturing those around her.

Pauline is survived by her son, Donnie Brown and wife, Christine; her grandson, Toby Davee, all of whom will miss her dearly yet carry her legacy of love forward.

Graveside services celebrating Pauline's extraordinary life will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, TX on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 1:00PM. Officiated by Bro. Bob Farrell.

As we remember Pauline Geneva Wheeler, let us rejoice in her spirit, her laughter, and the love she shared, gathering to reflect on a life beautifully lived.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ollie Smith; husband and father of her children, Charles Harry Brown; husband, Allen Glenn Wheeler; daughter, Christine Davee; three sisters, Marie Loudany, Ina Rhodes and Virgie Moody; a brother, Elvis J. Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.
