EASTLAND – Ray Dunn, age 74, was called to his eternal resting place on Friday, August 22, 2014, while at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Eastland located at 405 S. Seaman with burial following at the Eastland Cemetery, directed by Bakker Funeral Home, 411 S. Mulberry Street. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 6:00 -8:00 p.m at the funeral home
Ray was born in Cameron, Texas on October 1, 1939 to Mr. and Mrs. Luthel and Dovie Mae Dunn. He was a man of many talents, but mostly known for his Paint Contracting and Barbeque Restaurants. He loved working, talking, joking and especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents and Brother Dwight. Ray leaves to cherish his memory, a loving wife, Mary Dunn; three daughters, Hjardist Dunn-Baldwin and husband John Baldwin, Hjardier Dunn and Cynthia Dunn; a son, Ray Dunn Jr.;5 grandchildren, Danetra, Octavia, Errick, Reggie and Shannon; 4 great-grandchildren; Za’Nyea, Isiah, Jaylin, and Jamari; 2 brothers, Leslie Dunn and Elmo Petty; 4 sisters, Lenora Bell, Dorothy Edwards, Ernestine Bailey, and Glenda Dunn, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
