Raymond Oral Fox, age 72, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at his home in Eastland, Texas surrounded by his family. He was born on April 12, 1945 in Gorman, Texas to H. E. and Lottie Fox. Raymond graduated from Olden High School in 1963 and continued on to Barber College in Abilene, Texas. Raymond worked in various job settings until he owned and operated Ray’s Barber Shop in Ranger, Texas for approximately 25 years. He married his beloved wife, Nona Fox (Butler) on April 26, 1964; they were married 53 years. Together, they had one son, Derrik Fox, and one daughter, Dana McCune. Raymond was a loving granddad to four granddaughters, Brittney Fox, Chelcie Fox, Marley McCune, and Macey McCune. Raymond was also a loving brother to two sisters, Patsy Green and Cindy Chesnut. Raymond had an unbelievable ability to lighten any mood with his cheerful humor and his apparent thoughtfulness. He never stopped giving graciously to his family and friends, whether it was his time, his advice, his resources, or his encouragement. Not only did Raymond enjoy many hobbies of his own but he also engaged in the hobbies that his loved ones were passionate about. A few features of Raymond’s character included selflessness, quick wit, and generosity. The funeral services were held at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, Texas on January 3, 2018 at 2:00pm with Pastor Ray Rogers as the officiant.
