Richard Dale Abbott

Richard “Dale” Abbott, age 83 of Eastland, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Local arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home Eastland.
Dale was born March 18, 1939 in Cisco, Texas to Ola Green Abbott and Rosco Brittan Abbott. He married Mary Kathleen Brown November 1, 1963 in Tacoma, Washington. Dale was a truck driver for over 20 years and went to work for Paccar for 30 years and retired from there, then he bought a motor home and they traveled for 14 years and then settled in Pahrump, NV. Dale was a member of International Brotherhood of Team Stars since May 1, 1982, a member of the Catholic Church, and served proudly in the United States Army in the 4th Infantry from November 21, 1961 to November 20, 1963.
He is survived by daughter, Patricia; sister, Margie Froehlich and husband Roger; niece, Dee Williams and husband Sam; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Dale is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
