Richard Wayne Doss, 80, passed from this life to the next on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
Richard Wayne Doss was born on March 9, 1939 in Garner, Texas to Claude Otto and Bessie Maude (Brooks) Doss. He married Georgina Marie Gier on June 27, 1994. Mr. Doss was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, and also had been a deputy sheriff in Ellis County, and later Eastland County. He enjoyed trail riding, horses, and cattle ranching.
Survivors include his wife, Gina Doss; son, Richard Robert Doss; step-daughter, Jamie Ferriman; and grandchildren, Deanza and Bridgett Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 12 siblings.
