Robert “Bob” Perryman, 85, of Eastland, died Tuesday, August 1, 2017 surrounded by family that adored him.
Robert was born to Bertie Nora Perryman and Arthur Neal Perryman in Durant, OK January 20, 1932. He met the love of his life, Nita Lee Perryman and married her April 7, 1963 in El Paso, TX. Together, they raised 5 Children and he lived to see those children raise 7 of his granddaughters and 7 grandsons. Bob was elated to see the birth and childhoods of 4 great grand-daughters and 7 great-grandsons. He was “daddy” first and then became “Papa” and “Old Papa” a term of endearment that he loved to hear from his greats. His love for family and constant play is the legacy he leaves behind.
Robert was in the United States Air Force, stationed in Burtonwood Air Force Base in England in the 1950s. When he returned stateside, his passion for people and his entrepreneurial spirit took flight as he spent the next 40 years as a small business owner until he retired in Eastland Texas in 1990. Throughout his life, Robert sought to promote the welfare of others, and gave back to the community consistently, however he could.
He is survived by his wife, Nita Perryman of Eastland, his son Kevin and wife Tionna of Wiggins, Mississippi; son Nevin Perryman of San Angelo, Texas; daughter Robin Carouth and husband Clinton Carouth of Comanche, Texas; daughter Amanda Culberson and husband Daniel Culberson of Frisco, Texas; his sister Joanna Montgomery of Angleton, Texas and brother Donald Perryman of Fredericksburg, TX. He is survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews that still adore their “Uncle Bob” to this day.
Robert is proceeded in death by his mother and father; brother Alan Perryman; sister Johnnie Stephen; and his son Reagan Lee Perryman.
Visitation will be Friday, August 4 from 5-7 pm. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 5th at 11am. Visitation and Funeral will be held at Edwards Funeral Home and Chapel in Eastland, Texas.
