Robert Lee Cooper Jr., 77, of Hutto, TX went to be with our Lord October 24, 2013 in Georgetown, TX.
Robert was born to Robert Lee Cooper Sr. and Hildreth Hester Sturdivant Bayless October 9, 1936 in Odessa, TX. He was a graduate of Eastland High school where he played for the Eastland Mavericks and lettered for two yrs as a guard. He also attended college at Texas Tech, Cisco Jr. College, and McMurry. Robert then married Edlena Flair November 1, 1958 and had two children. He worked as a Power Plant Operator and Operations Supervisor for 34 years until he retired in 1993. He was a life member of NRA and TSRA, a little league coach for several years, 4-H leader, rifle coach, hunter, fisherman, gunsmith/dealer, and very much loved football.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and by his son Robert Lee Cooper III.
He is survived by his wife; his daughter: Patricia Dawn Cooper; 3 granddaughters: Elizabeth Cooper Belk; Bethany Cooper; and Lacey Dawn Cooper; great grandson: Cooper Alan Belk; cousins: Mike Cooper; Lance Cooper; and Debbie Pettit; many friends and a host of other relatives.
