Robert A. Johnson, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Friday January 22, 2016.
Robert was born on April 20, 1936 at Cross Pains to Noah A. & Johnnie Johnson. He had a career of 33 yrs. With the US Post office and 10 yrs. Working for the State Prison in Breckenridge. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany for 3 yrs. Grave side services were held Monday at 10 at the Eastland Cemetery.
Survivors include 1 brother, James Earle and wife Carole of Oklahoma; 3 sisters, Geraldine Greer of Hot Springs Ark. Glenda Garrett & husband John of Morton Valley and Gloria Sue McInis and husband Larry from Sachse TX. Nine nieces and nephews and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Eastland Nursing and Rehab Center, the staff of Gentiva Hospice, especially Sophia.
