Rodney Wayne Blackwell, age 73, of Temple died Saturday, August 4, 2012 at home in Temple. Rodney was born February 15, 1939 in Ranger, TX. He is the son of the late J. G. and the late Eva (James) Blackwell. He married Peggy Landers on August 27, 1962.
He was employed by as a Pipeline Worker.
He is survived by his wife: Peggy(Landers) Blackwell ; one daughter: Traci Newman of Temple, TX and one son: James Blackwell of Montgomery, TX; Brother of two sisters: Shirley Blackburn of Abilene, TX, Judy Harrison of Potosi, TX; he also has seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild. 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
The funeral service will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 7 at Edwards Funeral Home, 211 Pine St., Ranger, TX with Rick Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Alameda Cemetery, Ranger on Tuesday, August 7 at 10:00 am.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, 9 - 10 AM, August 7 from at Edwards Funeral Home, 211 Pine Street, Ranger, TX.
