Rodney Eugene Young, 47 of Mingus, passed away Wednesday February 24, 2016 in Mingus. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the New Gordon Cemetery in Gordon. The family will receive friends Friday from 6~8 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn.
Rodney was born August 27, 1968 in Ranger to Carl Young and Mary Baker Young. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School and was a cook at New York Hill Restaurant. He attended the Trinity Baptist Church in Strawn, and enjoyed walking and social gatherings.
Survivors include his parents, Mary and Carl Young; 3 brothers, Carl Kevin Young and wife Petre, Arthur David young and wife April, and Jacon T. Young; 1 sister, Gloria Candace Young Florez and husband Carlos; 3 nephews; and 5 nieces.
Memorials may be made in Rodney’s name to the Tri-City Ambulance Service.
