Roy Gene Squyers

Roy Squyres was born to Linda and Loren Squyres on December 29, 1972 in Fort Stockton, Texas. He passed away December 12, 2015 in Amarillo, Texas after a short illness.

Roy spent his childhood and early adulthood in Ranger, Texas where he became a volunteer firefighter. He was a graduate of Ranger High School. He was always keen on serving the public. He was an EMT. He attended Police Academy and was a peace officer. He was an active Deputy Sheriff for Wheeler County, Texas at the time of his passing. Roy loved life and telling a story or a joke. He always had a smile on his face.

Roy was preceded in death by his father, Loren Squyres, Grandparents Lt. Col. and Mrs. Roy Plumley, and beloved Uncle 'Sonny'. He is survived by his daughters; Katherine and Kimmie, loving mother, Linda, sisters; Joellen, Teresa, and Elizabeth, and brother, Christopher. We loved him deeply and thank God he came into our lives.
