Royce Verneil White

Royce Verneil White, 86 of Strawn, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at his residence. A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 28th from 4 until 6:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland.
Royce was born August 20, 1930 in Putnam, TX to Lee White and Pearl (Paragin) White. After graduating high school he served in the U.S. Army. He married Loretta Heflin on April 23, 1982 in Morton Valley. She preceded him in death on February 22, 2006. He was an office manager for the Burroughs Corporation, a 32nd Degree Mason, a Shriner, and a member of Harmony Baptist Church. He loved country gospel music, played the mandolin and guitar, and started playing the piano by ear at the age of 4 years old. His favorite pastime was watching the Texas Rangers.
Survivors include a son, Rick White (Charmin) of Afton, OK; a brother, Carl White and wife Helen of Joshua; a sister, Gertrude Riffe of Whitney; four grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and special friend and companion, Janie Sholar of Ranger.
