Sallie Ann Kinnaird

July 21, 1935 — April 12, 2023

Sallie Kinnaird was born on July 21, 1935, in Gainesville, Texas to Betty Jo and James Major Cooper. She passed in the presence of family and friends into the loving arms of her Savior on April 12, 2023, in Graham Texas.

Sallie was the older sister to her brother Joe Cooper. They spent their childhood growing up in Eastland Texas. After graduating from high school, she attended and received an education degree from North Texas State University. She taught in the public school in Putnam Texas.

She was married to Donald (Don) Lewis Kinnaird, Jr. They briefly lived in Texarkana before moving back to Eastland, where Don worked and eventually took over the Kinnaird Independent Insurance Agency. Sallie later took over running the business and eventually became partners with the Richard Rossander and Mike Perry to become the Kinnaird Rossander and Perry (KRP) Insurance Agency. Sallie retired in February of 2000

Sallie was a leader in the community. She was well loved and respected. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Eastland since childhood until she moved. She loved her friends and for years enjoyed the fun of playing in the local Bridge Club.

Sallie was generous with her time, talents, and treasures. She gave to those in need and lived a life of service and love to others. She was hardworking and dependable. All that she did, she did it in a fun-loving and gracious manner. She did not take other people or what she had in life for granted. Sallie was a person who expressed gratitude for all she had.

Sallie loved all her family. She is survived by her brother, Joe Cooper of Fort Worth and wife Jan; two sons, Jimmy Kinnaird of Newnan, GA and wife Karen, and Dwight Kinnaird of Costa Rica; one daughter, Carol Moore of Graford, TX and husband Jack. All will miss her joy, love and encouragement.

Sallie also had five grandchildren: Jenna Watkins, Daniel Kinnaird and wife Elizabeth, Rachel Kinnaird, Cooper Moore, and Gracyn Moore. In addition, she had three great grandchildren: Hudson Kinnaird, Evelyn Kinnaird, and Asher Kinnaird. She also leaves behind many friends who will miss here dearly.
