Samuel Wayne Strahan Sr.

Samuel Wayne Strahan, Sr., age 81, went to be with his Heavenly Father, on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at his residence in Cleburne, TX. He was born on March 10, 1942 to James Amos Strahan and Gladys Moser Strahan.
Wayne married the love of his life, Doris Elaine (Reynolds) Strahan on May 27, 1978 in McGregor, TX and have shared 45 beautiful years together. He was a member of Lake Leon Baptist Church and proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. Wayne attended the University of Texas at Austin where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Archeology. He was the owner and operator of Strahan Enterprises.
Wayne was an amazing people person who lit up any room when he walked in. He was a wonderful family man and a strong Christian who knew the importance of putting God first in his life. He was an avid Longhorns sports fanatic, enjoyed hunting arrowheads, traveling and sightseeing. He was handsome, witty, charming and funny. Those who knew Wayne loved him and he will be missed dearly by all.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Elaine (Renolds) Strahan of Cleburne, TX; sons: Martin Strahan and wife Jan of Glen Rose, TX, Sam Strahan of Ft. Worth, TX, Jeffrey Law of Venus Beach, FL, and Jonathan Law and wife San San of Friendswood, TX; daughter, Carol Huard and husband Mark of Port Isabel, TX; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
He was reunited in Heaven with his parents: James and Gladys, two brothers: James Strahan and David Strahan and one sister: Elizabeth Blackshear.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, burial will follow in Eastland City Cemetery with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to the Tarrant Area Food Bank online at Ways To Give - Tarrant Area Food Bank (tafb.org) or mailed to Elvira Reyes, Donor Database Manager, Tarrant Area Food Bank, 2525 Cullen Street, Fort Worth, TX 76107.
