Sandra Ferry Herrell

EASTLAND – Sandra Ferry Herrell, 81, passed from this life and went home to be with her heavenly Father on December 6, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. Herrell and Dorothy Durelle (Johnson) Herrell. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Dickie and Kathy, and one niece and family, Ginger, Cecil and Caleb Lopez.
Sandra was born in Shamrock, Texas. She grew up and attended school in Olden, TX. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX. She was employed by Texas Agricultural Extension Service, Wichita County and McKinney Job Corps Center in McKinney. She relocated to San Diego, CA where she was Center Director of the American Indian Training Center Industrial Training Systems. She returned to Texas and was employed by West Central Texas Council of Government, Texas Rehabilitation Commission, Texas Department of Health, and Cross Timbers Community Health Center, Deleon, TX.
Sandra chose cremation and requested no service. The family is honoring her wishes.
