Sharon Eyvonne Arther

Sharon Eyvonne (Steddum) Arther, 61, a life-time resident of Eastland, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 in Abilene. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Eastland City Cemetery with Dr. Shawn Brewer officiating and under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Sharon was born on November 17, 1952 in Eastland to Hazel Novel Franklin Steddum and Rabb Steddum. She graduated from Eastland High School. After Jr. College, she married Brett Arther in Eastland on August 10, 1972. She had worked for First Financial Bank for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eastland as well as the Lions Club. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Brett Arther of Eastland; a daughter, Christy Dianne (Arther) DiBartolomeo and her husband Michael and grandson Dixon of Joshua; a brother, Clifton Boyd Steddum and his wife Glenda of Clyde; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Batts of Eastland; brother & sisters-in-law, Mike Arther of Eastland, Phillip and Sherry Arther of Eastland, and Thane Arther of Fort Worth; and many nieces and nephews.
