Sharon R. James, 69, of Gordon, passed away on December 22, 2014 in Stephenville, TX. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015, 10:00 am at the Palo Pinto Cowboy Church, 2731 S FM 129 Santo, Texas 76472 with Roger Keck, officiating under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home Strawn.
She was born on January 23, 1945 to Ray and Virginia (Hayes) Williams SR. in Miami, OK. She is a Lubbock High School graduate. On May 18, 1988 she married William “Billy” James in Taho, California. Sharon and William lived in Gordon, TX, where she was Secretary of the Gordon Volunteer Fire Department.
Sharon is survived by her loving spouse of 26 years William "Billy" James, two sons, Blake Rather and wife Mary James of Ft Worth, TX, Trey and wife Diana James of San Angelo, TX; daughter, Jerri and husband Gary Wood of Sacramento, CA; sister, Shirly Smith of Lubbock, TX, and 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.
